January 11, 2026 – “Don't I Recognize You?”– Rev. Dr. Sam Parkes

The First Sunday After the Epiphany

January 11th marks the first Sunday after the Epiphany. This week, in the sermon series I Can See Clearly Now, Rev. Dr. Sam Parkes' sermon "Don't I Recognize You" will focus on the accounts of Jesus's baptism in Matthew 3: 13-17.

Worship Service will also include the hymns Fairest Lord Jesus, Wade in the Water and Be Thou My Vision.

God of all Universes,

we come today into the presence of your mighty power

to worship and to open our hearts

to the needs of this world, your world.

You give us many signs and signals,

guiding us through the wilderness to the verge of Jordan.

We are here to trust you, follow you,

and proclaim that you are God Without Mistakes!

It is not always for us to know your reasons;

rather, we choose today to put our faith in you

     and walk beside you,

wherever you call us to go,

whatever you ask us to do,

with whomever you call us to meet.

We confidently pray in the name of your Son,

     your beloved and ours. Amen.

Come join us at 9:00 a.m. as we Worship Together. We hope something in this music and message uplifts and strengthens your spirit. You are always welcome here.
