August 24, 2025 – “Together We Are Stronger”– Rev. Dr. Sam Parkes

Whether you joined us in person, online, or are just now discovering this message—welcome. Each Sunday, we gather in grace to listen, sing, reflect, and respond to God’s presence in our lives. We invite you into this space of peace and purpose.

This week’s message, Together We Are Stronger, reminded us that God’s strength is not about power or control but about unity, honesty, and love. Rooted in Ephesians 4:1–16, we were encouraged to see our gifts as essential parts of the body of Christ, given not for ourselves alone but to build up the whole community.

Through prayer, confession, and song, we admitted how often we leave the work of the church to “Someone Else.” Yet God calls each of us to step forward—to take risks, to embrace change, and to love boldly. In Christ, we discover that real strength is found in vulnerability, compassion, and our willingness to walk together in faith.

The challenge given was clear: to stop hiding our gifts and instead offer them for the sake of God’s people. As we go into the world, we carry the truth that unity is not uniformity, and that together, through Christ’s love, we are made strong enough to serve, to hope, and to speak the truth.
