August 3, 2025 – “Together We Have a Home” – Rev. Dr. Sam Parkes

Whether you were in the pews, online, or are visiting after the fact—welcome. Each Sunday, we gather to experience God's renewing presence and be reminded that we are never alone in the story of faith.

In this message, based on Ephesians 1:3–14, we reflected on the deep truth that in Christ, we are chosen, adopted, and given a permanent home in God’s family. This home is not built on walls of exclusion but on the grace, forgiveness, and eternal purposes of God. Through Jesus, we are welcomed as beloved children, fully known and fully accepted, with a place prepared for us that cannot be taken away.

The service invited us to rejoice in God’s blessings, to remember that our spiritual home is rooted in Christ’s love, and to respond with gratitude, prayer, and acts of care for the Church and one another. In celebrating Holy Communion, we shared in the meal that unites us across differences and distances, reminding us that this home is not just for now, but for all eternity.

We were sent out with the call to live as members of God’s household—sharing the welcome, safety, and belonging we have received, so that others may also know they are home in Christ.
