Other Youth Ministry Activities

Jr. High Sunday School Grades 7-8 in the FLC Patterson Room Sundays at 10:10-11:00am. We play fun games and learn great bible lessons.

Sr. High Sunday School Grades 9-12 in the FLC Dobson Room Sundays at 10:10-11:00am. Bible study with video clips and activities.

Youth Group Sunday Evenings in the FLC Dobson Room from 6:00-8:00pm. Weekly activities vary between fellowship activities, worship, & service opportunities. We have a schedule of events that can be seen on our Google calendar or our printed schedule.

Drama Team meets Wednesdays in the FLC Dobson Room from 6:00-6:45pm. They work on skits and dramas for worship, and do a mystery dinner theater in the spring.

Bible Study Meets Wednesdays from 6:45-7:15pm in the FLC Dobson Room. This year we will dig into different ways to pray and connect with God. We will also work on integrating God into our daily lives through scripture, prayer, and covenants.

Youth Choir meets in the FLC Rice room on Wednesday evenings from 7:20-8:20pm. Youth Choir sings Sunday mornings in church on a rotating schedule with other choirs.

Seasonal Activities:
Summer of Service: Each Tuesday during the summer we do a service project in the community.

We have a summer volleyball league with several other Methodist Churches in the East Valley. We also often play volleyball after youth group activities.

Camps & District events:
There are a variety of overnight retreats the conference puts on each year like YPC, JHC, Turn Around Trip, Summer camp, Winter Camp, etc.

Mission Trips:
Each year we travel to serve the needs of a different community to be connectional with other communities, and to show the love of Christ through acts of service.

Spirit West Coast is a three day Christian Music festival that we attend in San Diego, CA each summer.

Confirmation: Our 7th grade youth & those who have not been confirmed study about the Methodist Church for 8 weeks. Upon completion of the class they become full members of the church. Confirmation meets during the spring.
