Words of Welcome from Jim
First I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit
our web page at First United Methodist Church of Mesa. I hope
that you have had no trouble navigating around our site and
have found the information to be helpful.
I would like to personally invite you to come and visit
us for Sunday morning worship and experience the hospitality
and love that make First Church a wonderful place to worship
and serve. Our Sunday morning services offer a variety of
music and worship experiences in a traditional format. It
is part of our vision to be a center for worship and the arts
and we believe that you will experience that passion during
worship.
First Church is more than just worship. We are striving to
offer spiritual growth opportunities for all! We offer a wide
range of classes, Bible studies, youth and children’s
programs, and serve as a host site for both the Walk to Emmaus
and Kairos weekend spiritual growth experiences.
We also desire to involve all persons in the ministry of
the church and offer chances to serve for persons of all ages.
We are a downtown church and do much to support and be in
ministry with the homeless and disenfranchised of our community.
We also provide meeting space for Alcoholics’ Anonymous
and the local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans group.
We are striving to be a church that provides unconditional
love and acceptance while helping person build relationships
both inside and outside the church. If you are looking for
a church home where you can worship God, grow in grace and
be accepted and loved, we believe First Church is the place
for you!
